Pre-training acceptance: Beneficial reads and exercises?

Unread postby Blunt Force Trauma » July 14th, 2008, 3:06 pm

A big HI! to the site owner and all contributors, regulars and visitors.

I would like first of all to say thanks for the opportunity to submit a training request.

I was hoping I could get some advice on beneficial tutorials? and maybe *shrugs* some pre-training exercises?

I have found the link to the other ASAP members sites and will be visiting them for some literature to help me in my quest to become an adept malware fighter.

I do realise that some of the tools used require specialised training before they can be used safely, or to their intended potential, so I will refrain from asking advice about scripting or the advanced functions of some of these. If I am accepted there will be time to learn this.

I must say after reading through the forums there's some very impressive work being done here, I only hope I can learn and display the level of skill shown.

Now that I have finished greasing the wheels of motion :happy6:...... Is there anyway I can change my user name?

I kinda realised that it might sound like I suffered some kind of blow to the head, or even worse what the acronym of my user name could otherwise stand for..... hmmm..... lol

On a serious note the above sentence isn't really a concern but I would really appreciate some pointers.

Thankyou
BFT?

BFT? Built Ford Tough?

You could always private message ChrisRLG and ask him if you could change it.

There really isn't much you can read until yo have gotten accepted.

Heya Mike & Bio,

Cheers!, Thanks for the heads-up! I will wait a while before I p.m., the enrolement page said it could take up to a week before I hear anything so I'll continue to visit and read the posts here in the mean-time.

Mike, I feel armed with a counter-measure for BTF, another one I thought of was Busy Tooth Fairy (Thats has gotta be good thing)..... Hasn't it? Lol

Bio, your name is cool, it's a destroy them utterly kinda name. Mine suggests I might just knock em' around a bit. Lol.

I am happy with my name though, I've decided I will keep it. I was just suffering an attack of over-active imagination last night.

Cheers again!

If you are really set on becomming a helper it is a good idea to use a reasonable short and easy username. Aname aslong as yours gets in the way at some point when you start getting known. It is a mouthful.

Heya Elrond

That's a good point (I just noticed that I suffered a touch of dyslexia at the hands of my name signing off on the last post), I will PM a moderator and request that I can change it or have my account deleted then create a new one.

Cheers

We'd be happy to see if the NIC you want to change to is available. What we do need though is the NIC you want to change it to.
