removed virus and left with axrfgvek.dll in hijack this

A few days ago I got virus from a music software keygen, my own foolish fault.
I have Norton 360 installed and that found 4 infections but could only fix 3.
The other had to be removed by following steps on another forum, before I knew about this forum.
The virus had also put VIRUS ALERT! next to my clock and also in my General System Properties
and placed two shortcuts to weblinks on my desktop.
This has all been fixed now but when I run HiJackthis it has something it cant remove and is a threat,
axrfgvek.dll is the end of the name.
Everytime I go Online I get a IE opening a window and going to http://www.system-defender.com/freeware .
I have always used HiJackthis and thought that was me safe, but after reading through posts on the net
I now understand my PC could be full of all kinds of nonsense and I think I need someone else to have a look at my HiJackthis log file.

RENAME HIJACKTHIS

There is some infection hiding in your log.

Using Windows Explore by right-clicking the Start button and left clicking Explore navigate to: C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\HijackThis.exe

Right-click on HijackThis.exe & select Rename to scanner.exe.
Do not run HijackThis now.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
    (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum with a new HijackThis log

IMPORTANT I notice there are signs of one or more P2P (Person to Person) File Sharing Programs on your computer.

I'd like you to read the Guidelines for P2P Programs where we explain why it's not a good idea to have them.

Also available here.

Note: Even if you are using a "safe" P2P program, it is only the program that is safe. You will be sharing files from uncertified sources, and these are often infected. The bad guys use P2P filesharing as a major conduit to spread their wares.

My recommendation is you go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the programs listed above (in red).

If you choose not to remove them, please do not use them until this computer is clean.

Hello

the link http ://virusscan.jotti.org/ keeps bringing up a "connection has timed out" page. I am Online so a little puzzled.
Is this scan essential ? Does the link work for you ?
