That 02 HJT line and atiiiex.dll file are sure being stubborn.

Let's try another way to get rid of them both.

First, you can get rid of OTMoveIT2 by doing the following:

Please open OTMoveIt2.

Click on the CleanUp! button. If your Firewall gives a warning about OTMoveIt wanting to download a file, allow it.
Answer Yes to the prompt.
The program will ask for a reboot. Answer Yes.

Step # 1: Download and run ERUNT

You will be downloading ERUNT, a registry backup tool.
For version with the Installer:
Use the setup program to install ERUNT on your computer
For the zipped version:
Unzip all the files into a folder of your choice.

Click Erunt.exe to backup your registry to the folder of your choice.

Note:to restore your registry, go to the folder and start ERDNT.exe

Open Notepad!
Copy and Paste everything from the Quote box into Notepad:

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\{D8B3D88C-AE1A-4C28-BF27-B66E3A61E5D7}]

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D8B3D88C-AE1A-4C28-BF27-B66E3A61E5D7}]

Make sure there are NO blank lines before REGEDIT4
Make sure there IS one blank line at the end of the file.

Go to File > Save As
Save File name as Fix.reg
Change Save as Type to All Files and save the file to your desktop.

Close Notepad, and double-click Fix.reg on your Desktop. When it asks if you want to merge the info to the registry, hit YES/OK. Reboot the computer.

Step # 2: Download and run Killbox
Download Killbox to your Desktop.

Open Killbox.exe
Check the following boxes:

Delete on Reboot
Highlight all the entries in the quote box below and the Copy them.
C:\WINDOWS\System32\atiiiex.dll
Then in Killbox, click File>>Paste from Clipboard
At this point the "All Files" button should be enabled so you can click it.
Click the "All Files" button.
Then click the Red X ...and for the confirmation message that will appear, you will need to click Yes.
A second message will ask to Reboot now? You will need to click Yes to allow the reboot.

Note: Killbox will let you know if a file does not exist.
If you have any issues with this method, you can copy and paste the lines one at a time into the Killbox top box. Then click the "Single File" button. Then click the Red X ...and for the confirmation message that will appear, you will need to click Yes. A second message will ask to Reboot now? you will need to click No until the last one at which time you click Yes to allow the Reboot.

In your next post/reply, I need to see a fresh HiJackThis Log and let me know if KillBox did or didn't delete the file.

I'm gonna have you try one more tool to delete this very stubborn file.

Go ahead and delete Killbox.exe and C:\!killbox folder from your computer.

Step # 1: Remove Hijackthis Entries

Run HijackThis
Click on the Scan button
Put a check beside all of the items listed below (if present):

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {D8B3D88C-AE1A-4C28-BF27-B66E3A61E5D7} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\atiiiex.dll
Close all open windows and browsers/email, etc...
Click on the "Fix Checked" button
When completed, close the application.

Step # 1: Download and Run ComboFix

We will begin with ComboFix.exe. Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

Be sure to save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode. This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once installed, you should see a blue screen prompt that says:

The Recovery Console was successfully installed.

Please continue as follows:

Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.
Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.

Please include the following reports for further review, and so we may continue cleaning the system:

Step # 1: Run CFScript

Please delete the version of ComboFix you have on your computer, I need you to download the latest version of ComboFix by sUBs here and save it to your Desktop.

Also delete the CFScript.txt from your Desktop, you will be creating and running a new one.

Then, please open Notepad (Start -> Run -> type notepad in the Open field -> OK) and copy and paste the text present inside the code box below:

Collect::

C:\Qoobox\C\Windows\system32\drivers\ibfdggnj.dat.vir
C:\Qoobox\C\Windows\system32\atiiiex.dll.vir

Save this as CFScript.txt and change the "Save as type" to "All Files" and place it on your desktop.

Note: This CFScript is for use on Paul5003's computer only! Do not use it on your computer.
Referring to the screenshot above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe.
ComboFix will now run a scan on your system. It may reboot your system when it finishes. This is normal.
When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Copy and paste the contents of the log in your next reply.

CAUTION: Do not mouse-click ComboFix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

When CF finishes running, the ComboFix log will open along with a message box--do not be alarmed. With the above script, ComboFix will capture a file to submit for analysis.

Ensure you are connected to the internet and click OK on the message box. A browser will open. Simply follow the instructions to copy/paste/send the requested file.

No need to post the ComboFix Log or a HiJackThis Log in your next post. Just let me know if those files were sucessfully uploaded/submitted and let me know if McAfee is still giving you warnings about boaxxe trojan or if the warnings have stopped.

well i have gave it a few days and i have not seen any warnings about the trojan so i believe you have got rid of the problem for me.... i greatly appreciate it and if i have any other problems i will for sure be coming back to you... thanks again!!!

Did your browser open and did you follow the instructions on that page to copy, paste, and send the requested file. If so, then yes the file was submitted.
