I am interested every time I read someones name what it means and how they came up with it.

Here is mine:

Mike is my name (well michael is...)
Swim because I am a swimmer on a swim team
07 because I made this account in 2007.

:D

Gary - because it's my name.
R - because it's really shorthand for "Aaargh" (I shout that a lot at times of frustration).

Yes well I thought it tripped off the tongue easier than Gary "Oh for f***s sake" (which is something else I said a lot when I was training, usually when the wife wasn't around). ;) :D

Orac was the ships computer in a late 70s BBC sci fi TV series "Blakes 7"

The name being derived from, ORal recogintion and COmputing (As Dr Who fans will know, Tardis is derived from, Time And Relative Dimmension In Space).

As I have two ears, and use computers, it seemed to fit when i was thinking of a username for MWR

The following links will tell you more about Orac in Blakes 7

I have always liked birds of prey, so Wing
The term wingman from air force fighter pilots always meant to me, someone that looked out for others and tried to help. That's what I like to do...so...

Elrond is the person in JRR Tolkiens books who represents knowledge if anyone does and as I always liked to collect knowledge I used the name that I had used in other organizations as well. By now I am know across the help forums as Elrond.

jmw are my intials, the 3 is because when I set up my last isp account jmw was taken so I just kept adding a number until I had an account name that wasn't being used. And I've pretty much just stuck to that name for most things.

I like to learn, and it reminds me of the saying:
