What really is scaring me is he hasn't been on the internet since I've fixed his computer. I ran HijackThis after 4 reboots, nothing was there. I'm going to try and call him on Friday.

Williesbest2, unfortunately, nothing can guarantee that your friend’s computer will never again become infected by spyware, but there are things he can do to protect himself and lessen the possibility of re-infection. It looks like he’s already taken several steps to protect himself. I normally give this little “speechâ€

In regards to the antivirus, norton was already expired when I got there. I installed AVG on his system. I'll pass that information on to him.

As I said before, all we can do is request that he post another log to see if there is any more cleaning left to do. If he chooses not to do so, that is his choice. We will, however, be here if he needs more help.
