I seem to have problems with adzgalore popups for the past 2 weeks (and cpmsky for months) and i need help. Is there anyone kind enough to offer their expertise and time?

Remove Programs Using Control Panel
From Start, Settings, Control Panel or Start, Control Panel, click Add/Remove Programs.
Highlight each Entry, as follows, one by one, if it exists, and choose Remove :

Browser Optimizer Adzgalore
Enhancement Browser Tools Cpmsky
MySidesearch Search Assistant Adzgalore

Take extra care in answering questions posed by any Uninstaller. Some questions may be worded to deceive you into Keeping the program.

Please download the OTMoveIt2 by OldTimer.

• Save it to your desktop
• Please double-click OTMoveIt2.exe to run it.
• Copy the lines in the codebox below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose Copy):
  

  Code: Select all

  C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsh23.dll
  C:\WINDOWS\system32\nsj34.dll
           

• Return to OTMoveIt2, right click in the "Paste List of Files/Folders to Move" window (under the Yellow bar) and choose Paste.
• Click the red Moveit! button.
• Copy everything in the Results window (under the green bar) to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy), and paste it in your next reply.
• Close OTMoveIt2

Note: If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes. In this case, after the reboot, open Notepad (Start->All Programs->Accessories->Notepad), click File->Open, in the File Name box enter *.log and press the Enter key, navigate to the C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles folder, and open the newest .log file present, and copy/paste the contents of that document back here in your next post.

Make sure Every other window except HJT is closed (No other tabs showing in the bottom tray), and Click Fix Checked
Click the "X" in the upper right corner of the HiJackThis window to close it.

Post a New HiJackThis Log
Reboot your computer. Start HijackThis.
Click Do System Scan and Save a Log File.
When the Scan is complete, select the whole log (Ctrl-A), copy and paste the log contents in a reply, along with the OTMoveIt2 results.
(Next post, after checking your HiJackThis log, we will run an additional scan to check for any lingering items, and have a look at the list of installed programs).

Open HijackThis, click Open The Misc Tools Section. Then scroll down the list if you need to, click Open Uninstall Manager and Save List...
The List of installed programs will automatically be saved as uninstall_list.txt in your HiJackThis folder.
It will be here if you need to find it : C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis\uninstall_list.txt
In addition, the list opens in Notepad so you can also save as another name in another location if you wish. Please paste the contents into your next reply.
Click the "X" in the upper right corner of the HiJackThis window to close it.

Run MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
Please download the Installer and save to your desktop.

• Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
• At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to both Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
• If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
• If necessary, start MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware again.
• Once the program has loaded, select Perform Quick Scan, then click Scan.
• When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
• Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
• When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location, and post the contents in your reply.
• The log can also be found here if you need it : Start, All Programs, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, Logs
  The logs are named by date stamp

So we will be looking for the installed programs list, and the log from Malwarebytes.

Peer to Peer File Sharing
Please note that as long as you're using any form of Peer-to-Peer networking (utorrent, Azureus, Morpheus, Limewire, etc.) and downloading files from non-documented sources, you can expect infestations of malware to occur.

When you use Peer-to-peer (P2P) programs, you are downloading software from an UNKNOWN source directly onto your computer, bypassing your Firewall and Anti-Virus software. It's hardly surprising that many of the available downloads are being used by malware purveyors as a delivery method for their infections. Further, if your P2P program is not configured correctly you may be sharing more files than you realize. Even if you have one of the SAFE P2P programs, the practice of file-sharing is very UNSAFE for the health of your PC.
You may decide to continue P2P sharing, but keep in mind that this practice may be the source of major PC infections.
Better ask yourself if you and your system CD are REALLY ready to reformat your Hard Drive and Re-install Windows.

The risks of using P2P programs are described here in this Sourceforge webpage and in this Information Week article.
Some malware help forums are now refusing to help those who show up with infections from P2P usage.

I think you should stop using and Uninstall Azureus Vuze and Limewire, but it's your decision.
I have included them in the removals below.

You should download and install the newest version of the free Adobe Reader for reading Internet pdf files, due to vulnerabilities in earlier versions of Reader and Acrobat.
All versions numbered lower than 8.1.2 are vulnerable.

Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment(JRE), and install it to your computer. It is the 5th one down on the page, called Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 Update 6
Download it, choose save, and save it to your desktop.Then doubleclick it, and it will install the newest version of Java for you to use.

Let me know how it goes. If all appears well, I will give you a few final instructions for safety and cleanup.

Install SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster will add a large list of programs and sites to your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from accidentally running or downloading known malicious programs. Available from http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html
After the installation, click Download Latest Protection Updates. When it finishes, click Enable All Protection.

Reset System Restore Points

• Click Start > Help and Support
• Click on ->Undo changes to your computer with System Restore.
• Click Create A Restore Point then click Next. Give it a name it and then click Create, then Close.
• Close Help and Support Center.
• Click Start | Run and type Cleanmgr
• Select (C: ) then click OK.
• Click the More Options tab.
• Click Clean Up in the System Restore Section.

This will remove all previous restore points except the newly created one.
This System Restore sequence is not to be done regularly, but only as a Special Case after the removal of malware.

Keeping Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, updating it and scanning every week or so is a good idea.
You should be all set to go.
