PSW.Agent.7.L removal required

Unread postby BigGee » April 19th, 2008, 1:39 am

Hi Guys,

I have recently had a laptop rebuilt and that included a new hard drive. Unfortunately I inherited a PSW.Agent.7.L Trojan and cannot get rid of it, even though AVG says it heals it. The thing replicates. I went to control panel (I'm using Windows XP Home) and disabled the System Restore, ran AVG again, it came up blank. The problem comes back whenever I start a browser.

I have noted another thread on this forum that specifies how to remove it. My question is can I follow that process or is every laptop different and I'll have to remove a different or similar set of files?

Thanks in advance.

Okay sorry for any time diversions here....using the Kapersky on line scanner I found 4 files and 1 Object that needed removal. AVG and a couple of other Anti Virus programs did not find these things.

System is now clean.
