The computer is better, but still running a little slow. I got the "WARNING!" wallpaper off my desktop, but I cannot delete the file. How do you suggest I get rid of this?

Also, what files am I supposed to scan with Jotti? Thank you for all your help!

It's ok you have done this task, my opology. :)
You appear to have two antivirus programs running! Two a/v's running on the same system will fight for resources resulting in slow downs.
decide which a/v your going to delete, let me know as I will give you a tool to assist you.
will get back to you tomorrow as I'm working at present.
Thanks dan

I decided to just keep the Symantic Antivirus program. The computer seems to be running better, but I am not positive that it is 100%, however, it possibly is. Also, how would I go about deleting the wallpaper that was originally posted by the Malware? I tried to simply delete it, but it would not let me. Thanks for all your help!

Hi,

Try this to see if it helps with the desktop.
Go to Control Panel>Display>Desktop>Customize Desktop and select the "Web" tab. Uncheck any websites under "Web Pages" let me know how you go!

This will assist you with taking McAfee off your system.

Please note, these tools will remove all applications belonging to the relevant company.

Remove McAfee

Please click HERE and follow the instructions to download and run the Mcafee removal tool

post a new HJT log when done

I don't know what happened, but it seems that about 60% of my itunes won't play now. Do you have any idea what might have caused this? I did not have any problems with it when I had the malware on the computer, and I did not delete any registries that you did not tell me to delete. I believe almost 3000 songs are not available now.

For me to explore this a little more for you, I need as much information as you can give me!
When you try to play a song, do you get a message saying something like "iTunes is unable to locate "<whatever the song is>"?
Are there any prompts and what do they say?
Can they be played in Quicktime?
Can they be played in Windows Media Player?
what version of itunes are you running is it the latest?

Sorry, it turns out I'm an idiot. I moved some of my folders with music in it that I had on my desktop to another folder, and so they couldn't be located. I think everything is looking good right now. Thank you soooo much for your help. Are there any more steps I need to take?
