Newbie and Lost regarding solutions

Unread postby supercoley1 » March 22nd, 2008, 1:00 pm

Hello

I have recently been noticing that my Pc has been running slower and slower. I was already using spybot, defender and AVG on my machine.

As my wife and her sister regularly use the machine and continually ignore my requests not to download things I finally lost my cool when kiwee arrived on my PC without my consent.

I therefore installed xoftspySE to try and detect more spyware and also tweaking toolbox to try and close all the settings options for their usergroup.

The PC is even slower now and I assume that I have added to the problems. Also tweaking toolbox will not let me open the free trial and has locked me out of add/remove and many other control panel options. I then removed tweaking toolbox vis its own uninstall to try and retrieve these options but to o effect and I am still locked out of some control panel options.

Is there anything I can do without reformating and installing to retrieve the situation?

Many Thanks
Andy

Due to Lack of Response this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
