Please Help - Malware has taken over my daughter's computer

Unfortunately her anti-virus subscription ran out and I didn't catch it. I've since renewed her McAfee and tried Spybot, Adaware, and Hijack Blaster but I can't seem to get rid of the incredibly slow performance and browser hijack incidents. Each of those programs removed multiple viruses and malware but apparantly some remains. I'd greatly appreciate help solving this before she needs the computer for school again.

Here is the Hijack this log:

Hello JJSIII,

I will be assisting you with your malware issues.

As I am still a trainee, everything that I post to you, must be checked by an Admin or Moderator. Thus, there may be a tiny bit of a delay between posts, but it shouldn't be too long.

  • Whatever repairs we make, are for fixing your computer problems only and by no means should be used on another computer.
  • Continue to respond to this thread until I give you the All Clean! If you have any question or you're stuck in there please reply it to me. I will try my best to help you!
  • Please bookmark or favourite this page. In case you need it as reference or etc.

REMOVE TRENDMICRO HIJACKTHIS-Beta

Please delete any HijackThis Folders and Files you have now. Use Add/Remove Programs and remove HijackThis. What you have now is a Beta Version.

You can get a complete installer that installs HijackThis to C:\Program Files\HijackThis, making an entry in the start menu and also providing a desktop shortcut from here

Click on the link and select Save, save it to your desktop and double click HJTsetup.exe.

Open HijackThis and select: Do a system scan and save a log file.

When the scan is finished, Click Edit> Select All> Edit> Copy> and paste its contents here please.

The computer completely stopped responding last night and I was forced to reinstall windows which formatted the drives. This is not how I wanted to solve the problem but she now has her computer back. Thanks for your time.
