Hey perkypen,

Ok there are still some nasties on your system that were not removed

Print the following instructions off as you will need to be offline

Run the following scans again:

Huntbar - http://sarc.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.huntbar.html

CWShredder - http://www.intermute.com/products/cwshredder
Click Fix

Do the following fix in safe Mode (see below how to boot into safe mode)

Reboot into Safe Mode

Start-Logoff-Restart

· Immediately begin tapping the F8 key continually
· Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys
· Press enter on your keyboard to begin Safe Mode
· A black screen will appear then Windows will load

Add Remove Programs

Start - Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs (Might not be there)

Any of the following:

Wintools
Wintools Easy Installer
Wintools for Internet Explorer

Ending Process’s

Open task Manager (alt+ctrl+del) and click the process’s tab
Highlight if found:

TBPS.exe
PIB.exe
TBSSaver.scr

Then click end process

Run Hijackthis and with all windows closed put a check mark next to the following

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8952A998-1E7E-4716-B23D-3DBE03910972} - (no file) Huntbar
O3 - Toolbar: &Search Toolbar - {339BB23F-A864-48C0-A59F-29EA915965EC} - C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll Huntbar

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WinTools] C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\WinTools\WToolsA.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TBPS] C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\TBPS.exe

Now Click "FIX"

Showing Hidden Files and Folders·

Click Start

· Open My Computer
· Select the Tools Menu and click Folder Options
· Select the View Tab
· Under the hidden files and folders heading, Select Show · Uncheck: Hide File extensions for known file types
· Uncheck: Hide protected operating system files
· Click Yes to Confirm
· Click Ok

Use the search otion on the start menu (bottom left hand corner of the screen) to search for and find the following files and folders:

Files

c:\WINDOWS\TBSSaver.scr

If found delete the offending file (they may not be there this is fine)

Now serach for these folders again using the search option on the start up menu:

Folders

C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\WinTools
C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar

As above if they are there delete the whole folder and its contents.

Reverse the above to hide your files and folders again

Reboot

Run Cleanup to empty all your
Temporary Internet Folders as Hijackthis and other programs
leave a lot of junk behind:

Hey perkypen,

Print the Following Off as you will need to be OFFLINE

Ok lets use Killbox to remove the file/folder that is being so stubborn:

Download Pocket Killbox here - http://www.malwareremoval.com/downloads.html

Now take a look at this post as it will guide you through the installation process as well as the removal process incase you get confused:

http://www.malwareremoval.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=320

Once you have installed Killbox we need to begin to delete the file folder:

If you look at the topic above this is what we are going to do (so read this part):

How to use KILLBOX to delete a file - Delete on reboot kill -
ChrisRLG

Open Killbox and check a mark in the "RadioBox" which says "Delete On Reboot"

Under "Full Path or File to Delete copy and paste this entry below:

c:\program files\toolbar

Now press the red cross and a new window will pop up asking you to confirm the removal CLICK YES

Now it will ask you if you wish to reboot click NO as we have more files to add first, copy and paste this entry

C:\WINDOWS\TBSSaver.scr

After you have added the above entry and it asks if you wish to restart CLICK YES and the computer will restart

Now Download Spybot S&D from here and update it:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

Install the program and launch it.

Go to Start > Programs >Spybot > Search & Destroy and choose Spybot S&D

Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D

Go to advanced mode > Tools > BHOs > find this O2 and use spybot to 'remove'.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {8952A998-1E7E-4716-B23D-3DBE03910972} - (no file)

Reboot

Hey perkypen,

Print the following instructions off as you will need to be offline

Please make sure that there are no traces of the spyware left

Add/Remove!

Add Remove Programs

Start - Control Panel – Add/Remove Programs (Might not be there)

Look for any of the following:

Win-Tools Easy Installer (by websearch)
WebSearch Toolbar

If there uninstall but read each prompt carefully

Reboot Normally

Lets try Killbox again:

Download Pocket Killbox here -

http://www.malwareremoval.com/downloads.html

Now take a look at this post as it will guide you through
the installation process as well as the removal process incase you get
confused:

http://www.malwareremoval.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=320

Once you have installed Killbox we need to begin to delete the file/folder:

If you look at the topic above this is what we are going to do (so read
this part):

How to use KILLBOX to delete a file - Replace of file on reboot
ChrisRLG

Open Killbox and check a mark in the "RadioBox" which says "Replace on Reboot" "Use Dummy"

Under "Full Path or File to Delete copy and paste this entry below:

C:\program files\Toolbar\TBPS.exe

Now press the red cross and a new window will pop up asking you to confirm the removal CLICK YES

When it asks if you want to restart click No

Repeat with these:

c:\WINDOWS\TBSSaver.scr
C:\program files\Toolbar\PIB.exe

Now when it prompts a restart click yes

Lets try and disable the DLL's

Copy/Paste the following into your Run Box (Start-Run)

regsvr32 /u c:\program files\toolbar\toolbar.dll

Hit enter

Turning off Spybot’s Teatimer

Spybot’s Teatimer needs to be turned off before we can fix anything with Hijackthis.

To do this right click the running icon of Spybot’s Teatimer and choose exit, otherwise it can interfere.

Ending Process’s

Open task Manager (alt+ctrl+del) and click the process’s tab
Highlight if found:

TBPS.exe
PIB.exe
TBSSaver.scr

Then click end process

Run Hijackthis and with all windows closed put a check mark next to the following

O3 - Toolbar: &Search Toolbar - {339BB23F-A864-48C0-A59F-29EA915965EC} - C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\toolbar.dll

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [TBPS] C:\PROGRA~1\Toolbar\TBPS.exe

Click Fix

Post A New Log Back Here and Tell me how things are running
