I think i still didn't thank you enough for the time u gave me....
I logged onto MSN and i think we have finally defeated the infection :)

Btw i have a couple of questions to ask about AVG Antispyware:
Do i have to turn on protection and updates? (i remember you asked me to turn it off during the process)
Do i have to keep it or AVG Free protects me in the same way?
Thank you again. I'll keep u informed on what happens here :)

Glad things are working better.
But this file as detected by Kasperskys is being stubborn.

Have you rebooted the computer since the last fix?
If not please do so now.

______________________________
Make a new folder on your desktop. Call it reg finder

Download Reg Finder
Extract the files to that folder on the desktop you just created..
Go into that folder and double click RegFinder.vbs.
If any of your software gives you a warning about running this just allow it. It's safe.
Type in h1b9i6h4u6j1.exe
into the text field that appears and hit enter.
Again... Some protection software may probably flag the script...
just let it run.
It will let you know when its done and a log should pop up ..If it doesn't there will be a file in the folder called results.txt

Post that for me.

______________________________

The avg Anti Malware program is different then AVG anti Virus.
The anti malware program works a bit differently them the anti virus.

You don't have to keep the antiMlaware program if you don't wish to.
But please keep the anti virus program running. ;)

Now run HJT again and post a new log.

I tought antispaware was different from the antivirus, what i want to know is if it's better to reactivate AVG Antispyware and keep it up to date. Thanks for understanding that i'm a newbie ;). Much love.

It's gone ! Image

You are correct. Antispyware is different than an anti virus.
I would personaly keep avg antispyware. Scan with it as is once a week or so. Remember it is only a 30 day trial. At which time is will still continue to work it will just not update on it's own anymore. If you tend to like it I would consider purchasing it.
You also can turn on auto updates and resident shield. Some people claim it slows there machine down a bit.

Just a few things left to do and you can get back to your real life. ;)

Back up the registry

Download ERUNT
Save it to your desktop. Run and install this program.

In the box that opens ONLY choose
System registry.

Then click OK.

Next

Code: Select all
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1547161642-746137067-839522115-1003\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam\MUICache]
"c:\\h1b9i6h4u6j1.exe"=-

Make sure there are NO blank lines before REGEDIT4
Make sure there IS one blank line at the end of the file.

Then click on the FILE menu and select save as
Save the file as regfix.reg. Save the file to the desktop.
IMPORTANT: make sure to save the file as "all types" and NOT as a text file.

Now double click the file on the desktop
When asked if you want this to merge with the registry.
Click YES!

Once that is done you may delete that file from your desktop.

I see no evidence of a fire wall. I suggest you get one in place now.

A few words on Microsofts firewall. It only works in one direction. Incoming.
That means if something gets by it you would never know it was trying
to contact the internet.
Example: A bad program installs itself. You would never know it was contacting the internet.
Downloading other nasties and so forth.

If you decide to run one of these you should be certain Microsofts firewall is disabled.
To disable it.

I will list a few free firewalls for you. These are good (free) firewalls:

Never run 2 firwalls together. They will interfere with each other.
So just download and install one!

Download and Install a HOSTS File
A Hosts file is a plain text file which prevents your computer from connecting to malware and spyware sites by redirecting the connection request to 127.0.0.1, which is your local address. If you use a proxy server, or if you are on AOL, be sure to read the special instructions.
You can download the MVPS Hosts File and see a HOSTS file tutorial here :

I really thank you again for all u have done so far...
I have the very last question that came after AVG Free's Scan scheduled every 2 days....
It deleted a file in my c:\WINDOWS folder named G038_jpg.zip that is scaring me.... Another infection?
It also:
deleted CDSpeed.exe
found a change in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
2 trojan horses in 2 files downloaded with eMule that cannot be healed
They seem to be only some of the files inside the archive and not the whole .iso file. Can i delete just the few infected files into the archive?

I have another computer connected via ethernet with this one. Is it protected with ZoneAlarm too? How can i set ZA to let my second pc go on internet?
Ty again for understanding my noobness :)

Be sure to delete regfix.reg file we created earlier.
Althoughthis looks the same there is a difference.

2nd. What found a change in the host file ?
If you installed the host file I recommended that would be a change that's ok to accept.

3rd.
2 trojan horses in 2 files downloaded with eMule that cannot be healed
They seem to be only some of the files inside the archive and not the whole .iso file. Can i delete just the few infected files into the archive?

I would probably delete that entire ISO file myself. Remember that not any one scanner finds everything. Chances are good there are other bad files in it.
Downloading anything at all with almost any peer to peer program is risky at best.
Your taking chances with each file you download.
We see a very large amount of infextions coming through peer to peer downloads. There just not worth it.

2nd. it's AVG Free that found a change in the host file during its scan.

3rd. Zone Alarm.
When it blocks the attempt of connection of my second pc, there's no option to allow it connect to the net. My only option is to close the message telling me that the attempt has just been blocked.

As far as the connection from the other computer is concerned.
You can try the network set up wizard form the computer you need to connect to the internet.

clcik start/ control panel/network connections.
On the left choose set up a new home or office network.
Then next
then choose this computer connects to the internet through a residential gateway or another computer on my network.

Try setting it up like that.
To be honest networking isn't my area.
Once were done being sure your clean I will recommend a good helpful site that can assist you with this matter.

Your log still seems clean.

AVG found a change to your host file.
Did you install the host file I recommended? Could that be the change it found ?
Please let me know. We can easily fix this if need be.
