My Rockery Project

Unread postby ChrisRLG » June 25th, 2007, 4:21 am

Over the last month and a bit I have been rebuilding a rockery - here are some pictures taken along the way.

First a few shots when I was clearing the ground. (3rd June)

Second after clearing the ground - and with the preformed rockery sections 'propped' in place. (9th June)

Then when the infil of bricks/rubble and re packing of the earth to form the 'rockery' (& Mountain) (17th June)

And now as the rockery is nearing completion - still some 'rocks' to be moved to form flower beds within the rockery etc. But the main structure is finished.

Looks too much work done!! Seems you worked on that for a long time.

Nicely done. :)
I can't watch the video though. I don't know what's wrong.

I once stayed in England, and i was amazed with all those flowers you have there even in summer.
Here in Cyprus the summer is too strong and even if you water them every day, they don't stay alive.

Very nice Chris,

Looks like you put a lot of hard work in to it. I would like to do something like that someday but I would get frustrated trying to put it together and just end up driving my Jeep over the pile of rocks.

There is a good amount of water flowing down the rocks, and I find the sound of running water to be relaxing. It would be nice to put a chair out there and sit for a while reading a book.

Good work and enjoy it .

Looks beautiful.
I would love to sit by it today. 36 deg C and bone dry (10% or so). The wind is even warmer so no relief there. :( It is supposed to break towards the weekend. 8)

We hit 40-43 degrees here Ernold. High humidity too.

I suppose that garden would be perfect to sit and enjoy as Chris made it. ;)

Hope you didn't have as much rain today as we did here in Yorkshire Chris, else your waterfall would be looking like Niagara. :D :D

No chairlift on my mountain - you will have to walk it like all normal mountaineers.
