I have something called Win32.Trojan.Rx according to my security center. My symptoms are having 3 windows poping up every 10-15 mins in the form of a command prompt. After I press "X" on those windows "Load Library Manager" comes up asking if I want to send a report on it going haywire, and to top it off I have a sign that looks like this (but instead of a circle there is a triangle) at the bottom right of my computer. Help needed!

Hi Tofuman and welcome to Malware Removal!

You have a few things going on, but before we tackle them I need you to do a couple of things first:

1. You have HijackThis.exe on your Desktop. While this is fine, it is best to have HijackThis.exe in its own folder so Backups have a place to reside. Please create a new Folder on your Desktop, and move HijackThis.exe to it.

2. I now need you to RENAME HijackThis.exe to Scanner.exe.

3. It seems you are running two Anti-Virus programs (Norton and Avast!). This is not a good idea as multiple Anti-Virus programs will fight each for "power" and thus cause unnecessary problems. Please uninstall either Norton or Avast using Add/Remove programs.

4. You have programs that are disabled on startup as indiated by this HijackThis entry:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto

In order for me to know what infections are present, I need you to enable every program on startup. Instructions on how to do this are below:

• Go to Start > Run > Type msconfig > OK
• Click the Startup Tab
• Click Enable All
• Click Apply and then Close
• Click Exit Without Reboot - Don't reboot the computer!

5. I need to see another log from HijackThis.

• Run Hijackthis.
• Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
• Next click on Open uninstall manager.
• Press the Save list button.
• Save the file to your desktop, with the default name of uninstall_list
• Copy & Paste the entire contents of that file in your in your next post.

6. Now the above (1-5) are completed, I need you to post the following logs:

• A new HijackThis log - It should be in its own folder with all startup programs enabled
• The Uninstall list
