No. You are not doing anything wrong! These infections can be a pain to get rid of at times. We're just going to have to keep at it.

Download RKFiles and FindQoologic. Extract them to seprate folders. Don't run them yet.

Make sure no files are hiddden. To do this:

1. Click Start.
2. Open My Computer.
3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
4. Select the View Tab.
5. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
6. Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
7. Click Yes to confirm.
8. Click OK.

Go to Add/Remove Programs, uninstall VirtualBouncer or VBouncer.

Copy/paste theis into notepad or wordpad for reference during the fix.

Boot into Safe Mode.

Runa nd scan with HijackThis. With all browsers and windows closed, place a check beside the following and fix:

O2 - BHO: SearchToolbarBHOObject - {12EE7A5E-0674-42f9-A76A-000000004D00} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\stlb2.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: Search - {12EE7A5E-0674-42f9-A76B-000000004D00} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\stlb2.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [VBouncer] C:\PROGRA~1\VBouncer\VirtualBouncer.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\system32\japnpr.exe reg_run
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [scain] C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\s030109.Stub.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [98D0CE0C16B1] rundll32.exe D0CE0C16B1,D0CE0C16B1
O18 - Filter hijack: text/xml - (no CLSID) - (no file)
O20 - Winlogon Notify: Uninstall - C:\WINDOWS\system32\kwdcz2.dll

Run Ewido through a full system scan. Let it clean anything it finds.

Searhc for and delete the following folder:

C:\Program Files\VBouncer

Search for and delete these files:

C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\s030109.Stub.exe
D0CE0C16B1

Browse to your C:\Windows\Prefetch folder. Delete all the files in the folder, do not delete the folder itself. Empty your Recycle Bin. Run CCleaner.

Run RKFiles. It will take a bit to scan. When done it creates a log... C:\log.txt

Reboot Windows normally. Run FindQoologic.

When done, post the Ewido, RKFiles and Qoologic logs, along with a new HijackThis log please.

I am also going to ask you not to reboot/logoff/turn off your computer unless I instruct it.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting the logs.

Copy/paste this into notepad or wordpad for reference during the fix.

Close all open windows and programs, then start Killbox. Put a check next to "Delete on Reboot". Copy this line in "Full Path of File to Delete" box:

RMAgentOutput.dll

Click the red and white "Delete File" button.
Click "Yes" at the first prompt .
Click "No" at the second.

Do the same for each of the following files:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\AUKBK.DAT
C:\WINDOWS\System32\JAPNPR.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\System32\NAMRMBX.EXE
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup\KAIP.EXE

Run and scan with HijackThis. With all browsers and windows closed, place a check beside the following and fix:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\system32\japnpr.exe reg_run
O4 - Startup: AdDestroyer.lnk = C:\Program Files\AdDestroyer\AdDestroyer.exe
O18 - Filter hijack: text/xml - (no CLSID) - (no file)

Boot into Safe mode. Search for and delete this folder:

C:\Program Files\AdDestroyer

Run CCleaner.

Reboot Windows normally. Post a new HijackThis log along with a new FindQoologic log please.

Done.

Thanks for posting the logs.

Copy/paste the following quote box into a new notepad document.

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\nyxtxfst]

Save it to your desktop as fixme.reg. Save as File Type All Files(not as a text document). Double click fixme.reg and merge it into the registry when asked.

Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!

Please diasble Ewido's Real Time Protection as it may interfere with the fix. To do this:
  • Right-click the System Tray icon and uncheck real time protection.

Once your log is clean you can re-enable Ewido's Real Time Protection.

Run and scan with HijackThis. With all browsers and windows closed, place a check beside the following and fix:

O2 - BHO: SearchToolbarBHOObject - {12EE7A5E-0674-42f9-A76A-000000004D00} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\stlb2.dll (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: Search - {12EE7A5E-0674-42f9-A76B-000000004D00} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\stlb2.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KavSvc] C:\WINDOWS\system32\japnpr.exe reg_run
O18 - Filter hijack: text/xml - (no CLSID) - (no file)

Boot into Safe Mode.

Run a scan with Ewido. While the scan is running... do not open any explorer windows or the control panel. The fix will not work if you do.

Reboot Windows normally and post the Ewido log along with a new HijackThis log please.
