PC Police

I ran a anti spyware program that was in a PC Mag named Spyware Detector by Max Secure. This program came up with PC Police. It reports 174 registry entries.
I have run several online scanner and several boxed anti spyware / virus including AVG, Norton AntiVirus( which is where I found information about the entries PC Police put in the registry and file names however the article is from June 2005), Spy Bot, Spyware Blaster, Window Malware and Live, etc.
I have searched for the files that are in the Symantec Article with show hidden file and show all extensions and have not found any.
I have looked for some of the registry data / keys and have found some but not sure if these are from PC Police or legitimate.
I have emailed support@marsiansoft.com and info@marsiansoft.com the makers of this PC Police several time requesting information, but have not received a reply.

Can someone tell me how to find out if in fact my computer is infected with this PC Police and if so how to get rid of it. Symantec Norton Anti Virus claims that it will detect this software, but it does not report it being present.
This could be a case of a new anti virus software giving false positives to entice people to buy there software. I have received two emails per day from them stating that only there software can remove it and directing me to there order site.

Please create a folder on your C:\ and give it a name (example:HJT)
Download HijackThis 1.99.1© by Merijn
Unzip it in the folder you just created

HijackThis examines certain key areas of the Registry and Hard Drive and lists their contents. These are areas which are used by both legitimate programmers and malicious hijackers

Click on HijackThis.exe
Put a check in "Don't show this frame again when I start HijackThis" at the bottom
Click "None of the above, just start the program"
Click on the Scan button
It will scan your system Do Not remove anything with HiJackThis until instructed!
When finished, Click the Save Log button and save the log to the file you put HijackThis.exe in.
Double-click the log and Copy then Paste the entire contents here
After the log is posted I can then help you more efficiently !!
