Hi Agapeangel,

Welcome to the MalWare Removal forums! I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems.
HijackThis logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me. I know that you need
your computer working as quickly as possible, and I will work hard to help see that happens.

In order to help me help you, please observe the following while we work:
  1. If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't continue, we don't want to start all over again!
  2. Understand that cleaning your computer can sometimes take multiple passes/posts,
and it's important to follow the steps as listed including re-running scans as listed
  3. Please reply to this thread, do not start another.

If you can do those three things, everything should go smoothly

Hello Agapeangel,

Ok let get started the first thing I need you to do.
You are running HiJackthis.exe directly from your desktop we will have to put it in folder to save backups and not have then deleted.

Move HiJackthis.exe icon to save Backups
  • Click Start > then click My Computer
  • Double click on C: drive to open
  • Now Right-Click on and open area of this screen and choose New Folder from menu.
  • Name this folder HJT.
  • Next move HiJackthis.exe icon into this folder from desktop.
  • Now right-click on HijackThis.exe icon > and choose Send to > Choose Desktop( create a shortcut)
  • Done close all open windows
This must be done first before anything else.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Next I need you to check your add/Remove program list for this name: WinGuardian If it is not in list skip this step and move to next one below.
If it is listed then do the following:

Add/Remove Programs
  • Click Start
  • Go to Control Panel
  • Go to Add/Remove Programs
  • Find and click Remove for the following:

    WinGuardian

You will need to reboot computer to complete uninstall.
----------------------------------------------------------------
This is next step.
Please do the followng:

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.exe

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter
This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a 'RiskTool'; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between 'good' and 'malicious' use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

Please post these reports in your next reply to this thread:

Hi Agapeangel,

You mean Smithraudfix.exe is not on your desktop anywhere it will not be listed in all program list when you click start and all programs. It is suppose to be just on you desktop if you have a lot of icons on your desktop safemode may not show all of them.

You can try this while you are in normal mode

Slide Smithraudfix.exe to one side of computer screen so we can move it into directly into your C: drive.
click Start > then click MY Computer > click C: drive to open.
Now make this open window screen smaller so you can slide Smithraudfix.exe from your desktop into here.

Now reboot into safemode
click Start > then click MY Computer > click C: drive to open.
double click on Smithraudfix.exe and run it from here.

And continue with fix in previous post.
Any problems here post back and let know.

Hello Agapeangel,

Thanks for posting logs.

It may be helpful to know that when you put an item in your Trusted Zone, it has pretty much full access to your computer... very dangerous. Are you sure you trust this site to that degree?? If you're not sure, and/or you do not need these in your trusted zone to facilitate access, or you did not knowingly permit this access yourself, then please fix the following O15 entries....
I do not put anything in my Trust Zone unles system requires it to run computer.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

We need to make sure to disable programs that interfere(block) with fix. They may already be turn off just have to make sure:

AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5
  • Right-click the AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 Tray Icon (on bottom right corner of monitor screen) and choose Exit. Confirm by clicking Yes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

To enable the viewing of Hidden files follow these steps:
  1. Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
  2. Double-click on the My Computer icon (or click Start, then select My Computer)
  3. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
  4. After the new window appears select the View tab.
  5. Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.
  6. Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
  7. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide file extensions for known file types.
  8. Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
  9. Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer.
Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entries (if they are still present):

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = c:\secure32.html
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = c:\secure32.html

Hi Agapeangel,

Thanks for posting logs.
The last scan is looking a lot better you still have one infected file.
If you have uninstalled RoboForm and no longe have it I am including these leftovers just to tidy up, but if you are still using it do not fix entries.

Please do the following.

Make sure AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 is still turned off if it isn't already

Right-click the AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 Tray Icon (on bottom right corner of monitor screen) and choose Exit. Confirm by clicking Yes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entry (if they are still present):

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

FIX THIS LINES BELOW HERE IF YOU HAVE UNINSTALLED RoboForm

    O3 - Toolbar: &RoboForm - {724d43a0-0d85-11d4-9908-00400523e39a} - C:\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\roboform.dll (file missing)
    O9 - Extra button: Fill Forms - {320AF880-6646-11D3-ABEE-C5DBF3571F46} - <file://C:>\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\RoboFormComFillForms.html (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Fill Forms - {320AF880-6646-11D3-ABEE-C5DBF3571F46} - <file://C:>\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\RoboFormComFillForms.html (file missing)
    O9 - Extra button: Save - {320AF880-6646-11D3-ABEE-C5DBF3571F49} - <file://C:>\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\RoboFormComSavePass.html (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Save Forms - {320AF880-6646-11D3-ABEE-C5DBF3571F49} - <file://C:>\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\RoboFormComSavePass.html (file missing)
    O9 - Extra button: RoboForm - {724d43aa-0d85-11d4-9908-00400523e39a} - <file://C:>\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\RoboFormComShowToolbar.html (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: RoboForm Toolbar - {724d43aa-0d85-11d4-9908-00400523e39a} - <file://C:>\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm\RoboFormComShowToolbar.html (file missing)

WITH ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Use Explorer to navigate to and delete the following folder (if it is present) just what is in red:

Folders:

  • C:\Program Files\IPlayNet
  • C:\Program Files\Siber Systems\AI RoboForm <<<< Delete if you have uninstalled

Reboot computer
NOTE: If these files will not delete in normal mode you can boot into safe mode and try again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

If in you booted into safemode reboot back into normal mode.

Please let me know how deletion went and how your computer is running now
Post a New HJT log for recheck.

Hello Agapeangel

Computer is running much better..i have updated window updates..have it on auto but doesnt always downloads criticals...that popup is gone..thanks so much..here is last log..also how do I get rid of trusted sites?

Great job and that is good to hear on gettting updates.
When I had you fix these lines (015 entries) with HiJackthis

O15 - Trusted Zone: <http://www.brookerogersmusic.com>
O15 - Trusted Zone: <http://www.scmoose.com>

they were removed sorry I should have explain that better by fixing those lines we were removing them.

Now we need to do some tiding up here.

Please find and delete this tool it is of no longer any use and out dates frequently and new verison have to be downloaded to remove infections.
SmitFraudFix

You can go back and rehide system files:
  1. Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
  2. Double-click on the My Computer icon (or click Start, then select My Computer)

This is my normal post for when you are clear - which you now are - or seem to be. Please advise of any problems you still have :-

Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:

  1. Disable and Enable System Restore. - If you are using Windows ME or XP then you should disable and re-enable system restore to make sure there are no infected files found in a restore point.
You can find instructions on how to enable and re enable system restore here:
    Managing Windows Millennium System Restore
    or
    Windows XP System Restore Guide
re-enable system restore with instructions from tutorial above
  2. Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions:

    1. From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
    2. Click once on the Security tab
    3. Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
    4. Click once on the Custom Level button.

      1. Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
      2. Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
      3. Change the Initialise and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
      4. Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
      5. Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
      6. Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
      7. When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button.
      8. If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.
    5. Next press the Apply button and then the OK to exit the Internet Properties page.
  3. Use an Anti Virus Software - It is very important that your computer has an anti-virus software running on your machine. This alone can save you a lot of trouble with malware in the future. See this link for a listing of some on line & their stand-alone anti virus programs:
Computer Safety On line - Anti-Virus
  4. Update your Anti Virus Software - It is imperitive that you update your Anti virus software at least once a week (Even more if you wish). If you do not update your anti virus software then it will not be able to catch any of the new variants that may come out.
  5. Use a Firewall - I can not stress how important it is that you use a Firewall on your computer. Without a firewall your computer is susceptible to being hacked and taken over. Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly. For an article on Firewalls and a listing of some available ones see the link below:
Computer Safety On line - Software Firewalls
  6. Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly. This will ensure your computer has always the latest security updates available installed on your computer. If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.
  7. Install Spybot - Search and Destroy - Install and download Spybot - Search and Destroy with its TeaTimer option.
This will provide real-time spyware & hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection. You should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an anti virus software. A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
    Instructions for - Spybot S & D and Ad-aware
  8. Install Ad-Aware - Install and download Ad-Aware. You should also scan your computer with the program on a regular basis just as you would an anti virus software in conjunction with Spybot. A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
    Instructions for - Spybot S & D and Ad-aware
  9. Install SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster will added a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs. A article on anti-malware products with links for this program and others can be found here:
Computer Safety on line - Anti-Malware
  10. Update all these programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly. Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released.
Follow this list and your potential for being infected again will reduce dramatically.

Stand up and be Counted.
NOW is the time you can start to hit back at the people who infected you.
