Abbreviation game

Unread postby John B. » November 30th, 2006, 12:23 pm

Hi,

I think it's nice to have a game, especially for stress removal, at mwr. If it's not allowed, feel free to remove it (@ Admin)!

The abbreviation game goes like this.
I say an word, somebody from mwr thinks of what it would be if you write it out like it's an abbreviation. The first one who does that can think of a next word.

Example
I say 'malware'

Somebody else says 'Men and lions wearing awful red earrings' and this person can say the next one, like 'virus'. Like this, it goes on and on...

My abbreviation: Virus

Good Luck & Have Fun, John.

Funny Lemurs Only Climb Churches In Nigeria. An Ugly Cheerleader Is Not In Hawaii. I Love It. Perhaps I Like It? Fine, It Can Annoy Teachers In Other Nations.

Wow, that makes absolutely no sense. Good one Noviciate

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh! Still working on an ending to "Flippin’ linguists often create confusion in normal adults, usually causing, in normal instances, helpless individuals looking.... "

Must admit, yours is a lot more amusing, markamus. Nice one :D

A bit behind the times, but:

Flippin’ Linguists Often Create Confusion In Normal Adults, Usually Causing, In Normal Instances, Helpless Individuals Looking In Pain. If Logical Implications Create Fierce Impromptu Actions Then I’m Off Now.

People never exactly understand Microsoft or numerous other unnecessaries like Trojans, Rootkits and many indiscriminates.
Choking resources or sucking computers of private information creating severe illegal loses in consequence.
Obvious violations only leave consumers angry, nauseous or confused over notions individuals or security isn't safe. :D

Well sort of.
I really need to get out more

What about my new word, nad if you like what about adding a twist to it, the person who sets the new word also picks a theme that must be used.

For example mine was computers

The theme for my word is food, let's see what you can make of that.

Abnormal Nutrition Tearing Insides Dreadfully; Internal Secretions Expected, Serious Trauma And Bowel Lining Interference Suspected. Halitosis Means Extremely Nasty, Terrible, And Rancid Inhalations And Nastiness In Someone's Mouth.

Wow, that was disgusting, wasn't it? OK, not fully to do with food, but does impinge on it to a degree I suppose ...... :D

OK ...... Eschatological. Theme has to be to do with music.

Eschatological:

Everyone sees cows hitting alligators to offend loony oxes, guarding Incan's castle at London.

Not too good. :D
