Hello Zehavi , Welcome to the Forum.

There's a new version of HijackThis.

Please delete any HijackThis Folders and Files you have now.

Please download this self extracting file to your My Downloads folder or My Received Files (dependent on your Operating System):

http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe

Click the "Save" button.

Navigate to My Documents>Chose My Downloads or My Received Files folder once inside that folder click "Save".

Now go to the folder you saved HijackThis_sfx.exe in.

Double click HijackThis_sfx.exe and select Unzip. When done click "OK".
Close the WinZip self Extractor window.

Open HijackThis and select: Do a system scan and save a log file.

When the scan is finished, Click Edit> Select All> Edit> Copy> and paste its contents here [Add Reply].

Not sure why you want to remove frontpage, but it should be listed in Add/Remove Programs.

I'm at work now, but will look at your log when I get home

I have a strong suspicion that this is NOT Microsoft software... for one thing it is spelled in lower case: microsoft frontpage. I notice all of the other Microsoft products are capitalized... perhaps it's okay but I never noticed the program before...

I suggest you do this:

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://www.dell4me.com/myway

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch =

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

O9 - Extra button: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {3044D122-F099-4E70-A38E-EF65B68B4DEE} - (no file) (HKCU)

O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {3044D122-F099-4E70-A38E-EF65B68B4DEE} - (no file) (HKCU)

O9 - Extra button: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {9B532025-4A38-4948-A44F-E0E6EDD5F6E3} - (no file) (HKCU)

I checked off the items as instructed but at the moment I can't access the Steven Gould website to download the cleaner. When I go to the site, it says the site has exceeded it's bandwidth. Will this change in the near future?

The site says the same: exceeded bandwidth. I'll tey again later.

BTW, since I ran the Hijack This and did waht you instructed I get an error message that says: "Generic Host Processes Services.exe has encountered a problem and must be shut down."

I also notice that my computer no longer recognizes my ID (my computer name) but has a generic serial number.

In terms of what my computer does or doesn't do, I keep getting messages from my Prevx Intrusion Prevention software that someone is maliciously trying to hack into my computer, and I get messages that unknown processes are making changes to my registry.

Hello again...

While I was online writing my last message, I noticed that my network connection was unplugged so I checked & I see a message where it says that I am connected to a remote computer! I quickly shut down my system and then went online again, but I think that somehow I am being redirected to someone else's computer in cyberspace?

Thanks,

Lets try this:
To use it:
  1. Download CCleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/ and install.
  2. Open CCleaner.
  3. Place a check by everything in the Applications tab.
  4. Place a check by Internet Explorer, Windows explorer, and System in the Windows tab.
  5. Hit the button that says Run CCleaner
  6. Reboot to remove index.dat files.

After Reboot:

"copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

I will send you a message later after I get home, however I can tell you that I use Mozilla Firefox as a browser... will this affect anything I do as far as CCleaner?

Thanks,

I was able to download both Cleaner and CCleaner... I used CCleaner.

I have a folder in Windows called "peernet" and I have no idea what it is... I just found out from the bank that all my bank info has been compromised, so someone is definitely hacking into my computer.... perhaps I have trojans, etc.

The first issue is you're running two Anti-Virus programs. Grisoft and Panda. You need to use Add/Remove Programs and remove one of them.

Next:

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Then please run Ewido, run a full scan and let it clean everything it finds. Save the logfile from the scan.

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.
