Hello and welcome to MR forum.

You have several malware identified on your system, the most important of which is a rootkit infection. I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to alert them to your situation.

Though the infection has been identified and can be killed, please keep in mind that your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

When should I re-format? How should I reinstall?
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/10063

How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud?
http://www.dslreports.com/faq/10451

However, if you do not have the resources to reinstall your computer and would like me to attempt to clean it, I will be happy to do so. If you wish to clean your computer, we can start with the following:

======================================================

Though I see some services for Symantec (Norton), I cannot see any antivirus programs running in realtime. Has your Norton expired? If so, it's absolutely crucial that you download, install and update an antivirus software immediately, and then run a full system scan and let it clean whatever it finds. Below are some which are free for personal use. You can check them out but make sure that you install only ONE antivirus software.

Grisoft AVG from here : http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1
AntiVir Free from here : http://www.free-av.com/
Avast Home Edition from here : http://www.avast.com/eng/down_home.html

You'll also need to uninstall Norton. I don't know which version of Norton you have, but you can use this link or use the SymNRT removal tool.

Using the SymNRT removal tool:

Use SymNRT only if you have tried to uninstall the Norton program using Windows Add/Remove Programs. Even if this works, you should run the tool anyway.

SymNRT removes these--and only these--Norton programs:

* Norton AntiVirus 2004/2005/2006
* Norton AntiVirus Professional 2004
* Norton AntiVirus 3, 5 and 10 User Pack 2004/2005/2006
* Norton SystemWorks 2004/2005 Professional Edition
* Norton SystemWorks 2005/2005/2006 Premier
* Norton SystemWorks 2006
* Norton SystemWorks 2006 Basic Edition
* Norton Password Manager 2004
* Norton Internet Security 2004/2005/2006
* Norton Internet Security 5 and 10 User Pack 2004/2005/2006
* Norton Personal Firewall 2004/2005/2006
* Norton AntiSpam 2004/2005/2006
* Norton Ghost 2003/9.0/10.0

All you need to do is to download the tool by clicking here.

Now, after you have ran the tool(s) and rebooted your computer, go ahead with the following steps:

Browse to the following locations (using Windows Explorer) and delete the folders in bold.
C:\Program Files\ (Delete all folders beginning with Norton or Symantec.)
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec

======================================================

Your HijackThis is running from a zipped folder. Each time you scan it creates a temporary file to run, which may get deleted later and will not have any way of restoring the changes if you ever need to. So, please unzip/extract the folder to a permanent folder following the instructions here:

How to setup HijackThis:

http://www.nellie2.co.uk/extract.htm

towards the end of the page.

===========================================

First install MVPS HOSTS:

Download and unzip hosts.zip from HERE to a folder (hosts).

When you get a chance please read more about what we are doing HERE.

Here's a Tutorial on how to install it, but it's installed like this:

Open up the hosts folder and double-click on the mvps.bat file, it will rename your present HOSTS file to HOSTS.MVP, then it will copy the new HOSTS file to the correct location on your machine. It happens very quickly so don't blink!

You're done with this step.

Next....

Look in your control panels add/remove programs for any of these and uninstall them:

Oin
Yazzle by Oin
Purityscan by Oin
Snowballwars by Oin
or anything similar with Oin or Outerinfo in it.
Zolero
Tizzletalk
MediaTickets
Cowabanga
and any other programs you didn't install or don't recognize - if your not sure please ask first

Download and run this uninstaller:
http://www.outerinfo.com/OiUninstaller.exe

Tutorial for the uninstaller if needed

=============================================

Make sure that you can see hidden files
" Click Start
" Open My Computer
" Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options
" Select the View Tab
" Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders
" Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option
" Click Yes to confirm
" Click OK
** These files are hidden to stop you accidentally removing something important.
It is advisable to hide them again after fixing your computer. **

Safe Mode With networking? No wonder I cannot see any realtime protection. Please do not do that. You are out there with no protection! :shock: Read the rest of my post and get back to me please. Thanks.
