we keep running Ad-Aware se and keep getting too many ad-Awares, we delete them in a couple of hours we will have more.
When we run Spybot S&D we keep getting back the DSO exploits even after fixing them.
This whole thing started when Norton said we had a VIRUS something about backdoor trojan. Well now iseems to be gone but everytime we run it we get a couple of possible threats.
we keep getting something about a problem with Aurora.
also one infection refered me to C:\Windows\nail.exe. we tried to delete it and it won't let me.
when we run norton it finds 5 0r 6 infected file(infected with threats.)
always the same ones and lets me delete all but 2:

Hello and Welcome MT,

You have an infection that requires some tools to remove.
You need to download some programs for use later. You will be downloading them now because you will be disconnected from the Internet and must have them on your computer.

Safe Mode Tutorial
You will be required to use Safe Mode. If you need a good tutorial to review before the steps below, look at this because once in Safe Mode you will not have access to the Internet.
http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

CWShredder
Download CWShredder from
http://www.intermute.com/spysubtract/cw ... nload.html
install it, check for updates but again. Do NOT use it yet

Ewido Security Suite
Download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite from:
http://www.ewido.net/en/download/. Do NOT use it yet

Nailfix
Please download Nailfix from here:
http://www.noidea.us/easyfile/file.php? ... 5010747824
Unzip it to the desktop but please Do NOT use it yet.

Show Hidden Files and Folders
Click Start.
Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab.
Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

Safe Mode
Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
Restart your computer
After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Cwshredder
Then Open cwshredder that you downloaded in the first step. Close all browser windows and click on the fix/next button.

Nailfix
I do not see visible indications from the hijackthis log that you still have the Nail infection but this should clear it up if you do have remnants! Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Ewido
Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.
I will be asking you to post this log along with the hijackthis log later.

Hijackthis
Please note that in the following steps I will be asking you to delete files, folders, etc. and some of the items you may not find because the tools above have already zapped them! So don’t be alarmed if you cannot find certain items.

Open Hijackthis and tick this entries if present.
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,CustomizeSearch = about:blank
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ViewMgr] C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Viewpoint Manager\ViewMgr.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [zufdczy] c:\windows\system32\hysbbo.exe

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked

Now delete the following files in RED
c:\windows\system32\hysbbo.exe
C:\Windows\system32\DRMon.dll
C:\windows\system32\HYsbbd.exe
C:\WINDOWS\ALCXMNTR.EXE

Go to Add Remove Programs and remove: Viewpoint Manager

Delete Temporary and Prefetch files
Now we need to delete temporary files and the Prefetch files where malware may be still hiding.

Click the “Startâ€

Hello MT,

I had made a change to the above post and added item to removal in Hijackthis. You may have printed list before and missed it.

Go into Safe Mode again.

Hijackthis
Open Hijackthis and tick this entry.
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked

Now delete the following files in RED
C:\WINDOWS\ALCXMNTR.EXE

Delete Temporary and Prefetch files
Now we need to delete temporary files and the Prefetch files where malware may be still hiding.

Click the “Startâ€

Hello MT,

I am glad your computer is working well but I really wish you would post another hijackthis log so I could verify that the

C:\WINDOWS\ALCXMNTR.EXE

was deleted.
