I don't like the monthly Malicious removal tool running on my machine and always de-select it from the list of updates. I don't like anything that "cleans" my machine without me having control.
As for Mozilla updates I usually wait for a while before installing them. Too many of them are incompatible with my add-ons when they're first released, and I'd rather keep the functionality of my add-ons, than gain the often minor browser improvements of a new release.
Hello Gary R........is this the only reason you have windows updates set to "notify"
I was wondering if this is "common practice" with user's who have a more advanced knowledge of windows updates.
I do know that it is mainly user preference, but i am picking up comments like yours and just wondering if its a good idea to have windows updates set to "notify" myself, now that i am getting a more of an understanding about them.
If you are a basic home user who just surfs the internet, automatic updates is just what he needs.
But if you know a little bit more about them, is the setting "notify" a better option ?
EDIT
firefox 3.6.7 is available
