So, no surprises then.

I think it would be extremely naive to expect Vista to be secure from the get go, and no doubt in the next few months or so there's going to be a whole lot more exploits uncovered.

Personally I wouldn't consider even looking at a new OS until the first service pack has been issued.

But then again I don't believe you can make a system impregnable anyway, that presumes you're cleverer than the attackers, and that has never proven to be the case. Usually the defensive systems have always seemed to be used against us, and only made cleaning an infected machine more difficult.

Better in my opinion to have one you can clean easily when (not if) you get infected, and leave your defences to add on programmes which you can disable yourself when you need to to clean an infection.
