The older version has manually be removed, before updating to version 7. An alternate download for Java: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp If you look at the "Offline Instructions" link http://www.java.com/en/download/help/wi ... wnload.xml Step 5. Quote: 5.Oracle has partnered with companies that offer various products. The installer may present you with option to install these programs when you install Java. After ensuring that the desired programs are selected, click the Next button to continue the installation[ This may indeed be an Ask Toolbar reference. I suggest not installing any "partnered" software. _________________
