I too, am not a winter person... it would be fine with me if winter lasted about 2 weeks.

Hi Andy, good to see you around. :)

Nah, not for me ........... I love Winter. I'd be happy if it were 8 months long.

You can't ski if there's no snow, and I've been a skiing addict for a long, long time. Image

As for a sunny Scottish Summer .....

  1. There's no such thing. ;)
  2. If there were it would be spoilt by the midges. :D

Hi Gary :)

Where is it you go skiing? The only time i've went skiing was walking down the street during winter...absolute nightmare!

Australia has its box jelly fish and salwater crocs, Africa has its lions and black mambas...Scotland has Midges (and the mysterious Haggis!)

Nice to hear from you again Andy. :)
Would love a cool autumn just now. Yesterday was about 33 degrees C and today is supposed to be about the same with about 22 at night. :( Not pleasant at all and not normal this late in the year  .
I am all with you Gary when it comes to skiing. I love it and have been doing it when I have a chance for the last 60+ years. :D

Anywhere where there's some nice inclines and a reasonable chance of getting snow.

Mostly in France, the US, and Canada, but I have skied in Italy and Austria as well, and in my younger years once spent a day on the slopes in New Zealand.

Don't ask me the name of the NZ "resort" because it was a very long time ago (circa 1976) and I can't remember it, all I can tell you is it was on the North Island, and that it was quite a long drive from Aukland over some pretty dreadful roads.

Hi Elrond :)

Wow, must be toasty in the Summer then?

Cool Gary, sounds like fun!

I've actually been skiing twice. Once in a new indoor ski slope next to the Clyde last year and once on an artificial slope, with a kind of astro turf material to ski on. I enjoy it as well but don't really have the time to go :(
