Be Bop Deluxe, there's a name from my youth. They used to play in my local pub.

Bill Nelson used to be the Guitarist for them if I remember rightly. I have to say that their name never really reflected the kind of music they played.

He played lead guitar and sang lead vocals, and with a name like Be Bop Deluxe, anyone who did not know them would never think they played electric blue, glam rock, if that's a good description, which was around mid 70's, about the same time David Bowie was making it big, Bill Nelson was acclaimed as one of the finest guitarists in British rock at the time.

I certainly enjoyed listening to him and his band when they played in my local, the guy had a genuine feel for the guitar. It's a long time ago now, so can't remember too many of the tunes. That and the fact that they were playing in a pub, meant I wasn't always completely sober when listening, so my memory of things is not as good as it might otherwise be.

I seem to remember one called Sunburst Finish, though that might have been the name of an Album, they used to sell them when they'd finished their performances.

Have played guitar since I was about 12.

Own 3 Electrics and 4 Acoustics.

Wife loves when I sit down and start strumming on my Acoustics... not so much when I plug in an Electric and start thrashing :D

Always loved guitar music of almost any persuasion, and that is almost exclusively the sounds I listen to.

I have absolutely no musical ability whatsoever, but my best friend when I was younger was quite talented with the guitar and could play pretty much anything he heard, a gift I was always envious of.

Don't need to, I was that child.

Unlike the Pied Piper, to whose music the rats and children were attracted, my attempts caused large evacuations of the local rodent population, and small children were known to demand that their parents make contact with their real estate agents as soon as possible. :D :D
