BSOD with bugcheck 0xf4 (0x3,,,) - a process vital to Windows unexpectedly terminated.

0xf4 is often caused by HDD failure.

First, run Windows System Restore to reset (undo) your file permission changes. Select a restore point prior to the perm changes.

http://www.sysnative.com/forums/windows-8-windows-rt-tutorials/10724-windows-system-restore-restore-your-system-windows-10-8-1-8-7-vista.html

Then run HDD diagnostics -- Run SeaTools for DOS, LONG test - http://www.sysnative.com/forums/hardware-tutorials/4072-hard-drive-hdd-diagnostics.html

Hi! You might try Who Crashed, and also see if the reliability monitor has any clues. I do agree that it sounds like the HHD may be failing. Sea tools will answer that question for you! You might want to also run a chkdsk to check for bad sectors on your HHD!
PS You might also want to read when the OP created this thread JC!
