Go to http://www.bing.com
Enter "Windows 8 is " into the search box (without the quotes, but WITH a space after the word "is") and just take a look at the preprompted results .....

Not quite what MS would like us all to see I'm sure, but it's probably a pretty good reflection of what a great many of us really think about W8. ;) :D

W8 has one or two good new features, and the underlying kernel is actually pretty good, but IMO the new interface is a complete and utter disaster, and that's what most will judge it by.

You can get somewhat similar preprompted results using "Bing is " with a space after "is" and no quotes...

Using both Windows 7 and Windows 8... I get my work done on W7 and then use W8. Even MS' commercials show the "playthings" you can do on Windows 8 but not much in the way of productivity.
