Hmm. Not there either :(

Click start
Run
type in msconfig
Enter
Click on Startup tab

Is there a folder listed in there? (eg C:\ )
If yes, remove the checkmark and OK out of msconfig.
Next boot, you will be prompted for selective startup...checkmark the box and x-out of the prompt.

If no folder showing in startups..another Key to export is
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

We'll find it sooner or later

I don't mean to doubt you, but are you positive that it is C:\ which is opening at boot?

You would be looking at these folders, plus possibly some others, in the C:\ window:
DocumentsAndSettings
ProgramFiles
Windows

Hi simi,
I'm going to split that other log off into a new topic shortly (it has some things to deal with), but in the meantime could you post another log from the one we were working on?
I really don't like to walk away on something when it isn't completely fixed.

Thanks, and I'll be back with you in a few hours.

OK, let's get AdAwareSE personal and see if it picks up anything unusual.
After installing and Updating, change the checkmark to 'Perform Full System Scan' before starting the app.

Make a note of any registry and other items found but not fixed, and post a copy here.
