Hi lo-tec,

Welcome to the Malware Removal forums. I will be more than happy to help you work on your problems.
Please only use this topic to reply to. Do not start another thread.
If you’re unsure of anything at all please stop and ask!

Ready? Great..lets roll

Spybot S&D is available from here.

Download and Install Spybot S&D (if you haven't already), accept the Default Settings
In the Menu Bar at the top of the Spybot window you will see Mode.
Make certain that 'Default Mode has a check mark beside it.
Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
Click the button to 'Search for Updates' then download and install the updates.
Next click the button 'Check for Problems'
When Spybot is complete, it will be showing 'RED' entries bold 'BLACK' entries and 'GREEN' entries in the window
Make certain there is a check mark beside all of the RED entries ONLY.
Choose 'Fix Selected Problems' and allow Spybot to fix the RED entries.
==========

Download and install Ewido Anti-Malware

During the installation, uncheck the following under Additional Options:
Install background guard
Install scan via context menu

Check for updates
Do not run it yet
==========

Now, enable the Show Hidden Folders option, like this:
Click Start.
Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.
==========

You have SpywareGuard and Microsoft AntiSpyware installed. While these are great programs, we need to temporarily disable (not uninstall) the program because it might stop our fix.

Disable SpywareGuard:

Right click the running icon of Spywareguard, it will open the program.
Then go to Menu, File, Exit.
Then confirm the program is closed.
==========

Open Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Click on Tools, Settings.
In the left pane, click on Real-time Protection.
Under Startup Options uncheck Enable the Microsoft AntiSpyware Security Agents on startup (recommended).
Under Real-time spyware threat protection uncheck Enable real-time spyware threat protection (recommended).
After you uncheck these, click on the Save button and close Microsoft AntiSpyware.
Right click on the Microsoft AntiSpyware icon on the taskbar and select Shutdown Microsoft AntiSpyware.

After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.
==========

Start HijackThis as you did to generate a log, but this time click on 'Do a system scan only'.
Place a checkmark in the boxes to the left of the following entries, by clicking on them:

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = <http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/sb/ymsgr6/>*http://www.yahoo.com/ext/search/search.html
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = <http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/stp/ymsgr6/>*http://www.yahoo.com
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = <http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/su/ymsgr6/>*http://www.yahoo.com
O23 - Service: .NET Framework Service (.NET Connection Service) - Unknown owner - C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe (file missing)

CLOSE ALL OPEN WINDOWS AND BROWSERS - EXCEPT HJT and click on Fix checked
==========

Please print the instructions below or copy and paste to Notepad since you will not have internet access while in safe mode.
Then reboot your computer
As soon as it starts to boot, rapidly press the f8 key.
Select Safe Mode from the menu
If you are still unsure, see here
==========

Using Windows Explore by right-clicking the Start button and left clicking Explore navigate to and find the following files: if found, delete the following files (some may not be present after previous steps):

C:\WINDOWS\svchost.exe
(NOT the file of the same name from the c:\windows\system32 folder which is legit)
==========

Clean out your Temp files as follows:
Open Internet Explorer. You'll get a 404 page not found, but that is normal in safe mode.
At the top, click Tools>Internet Options> and then, in the center click Delete Cookies
Click Delete Files and then in the new applet check the box for all offline content
Click OK
Close that applet and open the C>Windows>Temp folder, and delete all files in there too, and all files in sub-folders of Temp.
Empty the C:\Windows\Prefetch Folder about once a month. More if you use the internet a lot.
Empty ALL C:\Documents and Settings\user name here\LocalSettings\Temp Folders

Note: If you cannot delete them all at once because you have too many, then click and hold ctrl and highlight a batch of them at a time. Once highlighted, R-click over the highlight and select delete. Rinse, lather, repeat until folder is empty

Now empty your Recycle Bin
==========

Run ewido Malware Remover

Click on Scanner
Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
While the scan is in progress you will be prompted to clean files, click OK
Select "none" as the action. Check "Perform action with all infections".
Once the scan has completed, there will be a button located on the bottom of the screen named Save report - click it.
Save the report.txt file to your desktop.

Now close ewido security suite.

Warning: While the scan is in progress, DO NOT open any folders or the Windows Control Panel !!
==========

Reboot your PC to Normal Mode
==========

Run an online virus scan called Kapersky from here.

1. Click on "Kapersky Online Scanner"
2. A new smaller window will pop up. Press on "Accept". After reading the contents.
3. Now Kapersky will update the anti-virus database. Let it run.
4. Click on "Next">"Scan Settings", and make sure the database is set to "extended". And check both the scan options. Then click OK.
5. Then click on "My Computer". And the scan will start.
6. Once finished, save a log as ".txt" to the desktop. And restart
==========

Post a new HJT Log
Post ewido Log
Post kapersky Log
Also let me know how your system is performing

Thanks,
Rogue
