Please download HijackThis version 1.99.1 from HERE and make sure to unzip and to it's own, permanent folder. To run HijackThis click Scan and then Save log, Post the new log in a reply to this thread. I would be happy to take a look at it.

What now?

Unread postby Sanna » January 18th, 2006, 10:51 pm

What is the next step? I am still getting WinFixer pop-ups. I installed the Kerio firewall, and it prevented my DSL from accessing the internet, so I had to uninstall it. What steps do I take to get rid of WinFixer? Thanks for your time and help.

Winfixer

I have also experienced this pop up problem with Winfixer. It generates a number of ads for various malware software. It also creates pop ups that tell me my computer has a registry problem. Though it does not appear to create any serious problems other than inconvenience, I will look forward to any assistance to get rid of this thing. So I will watch this post with interest.
