Hello firefly101fun.

This is looking like an exercise in futility as I need the logs from the fix in order to continue the process. That and the fact that you do not have an active up to date Anti Virus means you are only going to get infected again in a very short time. It may even be the reason you have trouble getting the fix to run and produce a log. It is obvious you are still using the computer on line so infection can actually be instantaneous. I am sorry there is nothing more I can do until you get an active up to date anti-virus program.

If you wish to continue, please by all means download and install one of the 2 free programs below. Be sure to remove the ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

To protect your computer from infection...download a (free for personal use) anti-virus program from one these reliable vendors.

  1. avast! Free Antivirus - Excellent detection, the freeware version includes email scanning.
  2. Microsoft Security Essentials ** - New, from Microsoft, with email scanning, easy to install, easy to use.
** Your PC must run genuine Windows to install Microsoft Security Essentials.

Due to a lack of activity within the proscribed time period, this topic is now closed.

Although we understand a poster may have difficulty responding to a helper's posts and following the instructions therein in a timely manner, that is the way we and most free online help forums function. Online help forums are usually not the most suitable choice for those who must be away from their infected computers for a period of time that exceeds the posted parameters for receiving assistance. Therefore, we suggest you consider availing yourself of other more suitable means for resolving your computer's issues, such as a local computer repair shop.

Do not request that this topic be reopened, and do not start a new topic.
