Dozens of Pop-ups + DDS not running.

Unread postby Marcelo Almeida » November 11th, 2014, 11:32 pm

Hello, guys!

Since yesterday, lots of pop-ups have been showing up on my screen. I do not know if I have done something wrong. I scanned my laptop trying to solve this issue but to no avail. The thing is, DDS is not running here. It says it is not meant to run in compatibility mode.

I was wondering if I could use HijackThis instead. Please, some help here.

Thank you very much in advance.

If you get that message it's because you're trying to scan a Windows 8.1 machine, DDS is not compatible with that OS.

May I draw your attention to THIS topic (read the section on Windows 8.1 machines), which you should have read, and which tells you what we need you to post so that we can help you.

This thread will now be closed.

If you still need help, please start a new thread with:-

If for any reason you can't run FRST, please let us know in your post.
