Hi guys,

first I just want to say this is a great forum. not often you come across free stuff like this with such great support with people so willing to help. good stuff.

so here's the thing, whenever my computer boots up my firewall (PrivateFirewall 7.0) says that c:\windows\tasks\googleupdatetaskmachineua.job is trying to make changes and if i want to keep them or block them. then when I block them, every single time PrivateFirewall runs the same update.

I've googled it but I am not getting anywhere but it did lead me here. If you guys could help it would be much appreciated. thanks so much.

PS. also I have a ton of processes run that I have no idea what the heck they are?

also in PrivateFirewall in the applications section, it shows that there is LSA Shell (export version) lsass.exe) running, ftp.exe and Microsoft Telnet.

i blocked all traffic to them. am I completely hacked here?

also another thing that Privatefirewall said that was trying to change settings on boot up was a javaupdate

If i can also draw your attention to the section here which explains why you should not reply to or try to bump your topic.
