Lately my laptop has been running very slow, so I tried scanning for viruses with Kaspersky but it doesn't seem to find anything. I decided to try install Malwarebytes Anti Malware but it didn't let me install it. Turns out I can't install anything (including the DDS log creator). Everything just says corrupt files in the installer. How should I go about this?
Thanks in advance
Note: My brother has downloaded some questionable software recently, namely Open Download Manager and I've also found something called Gorilla Price which wants me to download an uninstaller to get rid of it which I'm sure isn't good news.
We understand that you are having difficulty running certain programs, including DDS. However, in order for us to help you it is necessary that you provide us with a DDS log, and it is possible you may be able to do this by following these instructions:
Download/run Rkill:
Please download Rkill from one of the following links and save to your Desktop:
A command window will open then disappear upon completion, this is normal.
Please leave Rkill on the Desktop until otherwise advised.
Note: If your security software warns about Rkill, please ignore and allow the download to continue.
Next, please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your DDS log. If you are unable to create and post a DDS log, then your only option may be to reformat your computer and reinstall the operating system.
