I am having problems with an old Lenovo we use around the house and my Dad has sent it to techs in the past but issues have retained. He was experiencing hyperlinking and his machine was running terribly slow. I figured it a simple fix and installed/used Malwarebytes program thinking it would fix the problem. It came up with over 200 hundred results. It did take out any and all issues within the system, but upon opening a file in an email, was told that the file had been infected by a virus and deleted. Any and all tries at doing anything within the Windows Firewall was impossible. I eventually tried various registry fixes provided by Microsoft forums and it ended up doing some funky things in the registry. I've had to revert to my backup and I have followed the protocol in a recent previous post by downloading and running ADWCleaner first to clean the files and have since used JRT to look up the files in the previous post. I am now stuck.. Any help would be much appreciated and I will attach the DDS file as well as the MGA Diagnostic results and the SystemLook file too to make things a bit quicker. I even have the OTL files as well. I will include the documentation in the attachments.
Note: I have backed-up the registry with ERUNT and the system restore file I do have is still there as well. The laptop is a 32 bit Lenovo and was purchased (As far as I know) from the Lenovo manufacturer. (It is not under warranty)
To clarify so far I have run ADWCleaner and allowed the machine to restart after selecting clean, I have run the MGA Diagnostic application, I have the OTL documents OTL.txt as well as Extras.txt. I have not run a fix from OTL yet as I am uncertain if it will fix things yet or set me back another step. I would appreciate any input. Thank you in advance.
