Hello again,

As for shutting Norton 360 down, it won't let me. I went into services, pulled up the general tab, and couldn't hit anything because it was grayed out. The status on it said automatic. What do I do?

Also, I have to go somewhere for a few days and may not be able to respond due to lack of internet service. Will I have to start a new topic when I get back? I think I'll have internet access, I'm just not sure. I don't want you to think I'm ignoring your help.

Thanks again!

Your Win7 wants extra authorization to stop the service.

Go to Start.
Type Services.msc into the box. DON'T HIT <Enter>.
In the popup dialog above, Right click on "services.msc" and choose "run as administrator".
Then you should be able to make the changes to the Norton service, and proceed with the ESET scan.

Due to Lack of Response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.

It's been 5 full days.
