Hello. Inspiron 1720, running Windows Vista Home Premium, Service pac 2. Suddenly, I cannot install, uninstall anything including windows updates. Code 641 and message windows installer service could not be accessed. All microsoft FIXIT fail to work. Cannot download laterst versions of windows installer from microsoft. SFCdetails show blank page. DDS only produces one file, dds.txt as per below. dds.txt deemed too big to attach! Please help.
