PC does not allow me to do DDS log....

Unread postby Sportsfan » February 15th, 2012, 12:51 am

Hi again,

My PC apparently doesn't let me do any DDS logs as a message or notice from HiJackThis comes up after attempting to do a scan, which says the PC is unable to run it because of a hardware issue or something of the sort.

That is why I couldn't post it, so I apologize, but had no idea how else to present my issue for the exploit Blacole.Bw file, and whether it was an error of some sort by Microsoft Essentials, as it keeps coming up, but Malwarebytes and TrendMicro do not seem to catch it and say my PC is fine.

Do you know then how I can fix it since I can't do DDS?

Sportsfan, although we always prefer to see logs for confirmation, I am relatively certain that your issue is not malware. Currently, there is a problem with the definitions used by both Microsoft Forefront and Microsoft Security Essentials. This results in a false positive when accessing various Google sites. In short, your problem is likely the result of a false positive, not malware.

Microsoft has been working to resolve this issue, and it is expected that new definitions will be coming down the pipe shortly. Try to update your MSE in the morning and you'll likely find your problem has been resolved.

As there have been no further questions, this issue would appear to be resolved.
