Windows 7 freezing suddenly

Unread postby BehindMySarcasm » January 24th, 2012, 12:25 am

Hi,
Recently, I noticed that I was victim to one of those 'email worms' that sends junk email from your address. I changed my email password and then did an Avast boot-time scan for good measure. It found a few things and I moved them to the chest. Since then, however, my computer has been freezing shortly after starting up, and Ctl+Alt+Del doesn't do anything at all. I have to force the computer to shut off and turn back on. I've tried restoring the system, but it doesn't do any good, so I suspect some kind of virus.
Any help is appreciated!

I ran DDS and here is the log (Attach.txt is attached):

Posting Logs as Attachments

May I draw your attention to the topic: ALL USERS OF THIS FORUM MUST READ THIS FIRST, which you should have read before posting for help.

The instructions for running DDS found HERE, state how we need you to post the logs, so we can help you.

The section here explains why you should not post attachments unless the helper assisting you requests that you do so.

If you still require assistance, please start a new topic and copy and paste your DDS logs (DDS.txt and Attach.txt) and wait for a new helper. Thank you for your understanding.
