Malware problems-very annoying

Been having problems for a while. I'm guessing it's some kind of malware thing.

Started having problems after i logged into let me watch this.com can't remember what film. Anyway, Anti virus program Avast ran a check. Said i needed to reboot my computer which i did...computer restarted. But avast no longer ran, neither did internet explorer and a number of applications on the computer including security centre, firefox etc. I can't down load spyware or anti malware programs. I bought McAfee and ran a check, removed any viruses that were on the computer but the problem still persisted!!! Any time i try to down load any type of program, it allows the download, but when i try to run the program one of two things happens...either says application not found! Or, a grey box will pop up which says Save file or cancel. It never allows me to run the file!? It says application not found or choose a program to oopen the file with (explorer or firefox) it then application not found! I followed some advice on the Malwarebytes website that suggested creating another account and running a anti malware program, amazingly i could do this so i switched users and tried to run an anti malware program....no joy. really not sure what is happening or why? Any help would be great...sorry for the boring account of my computers woes!!!
