Torjan virus

Unread postby estheblessed » August 28th, 2011, 9:50 am

Hi,

AVG detected a virus on my machine which is infecting a load of files. It wont let me start in safe mode, it wont let me download certain programs, it wont let me update any programs (AVG, Spybot, etc) and it is trying to remove certain programs that are valid.

I used combofix to quell the virus but when I restart my machine it all seems to give off again. It is also causing my machine to make a noise like it is trying to access a floppy disk?

Here is a hijackthislog after I have run combofix:

Hi estheblessed,

I have already posted a response to you here but the topic was closed as there was no reply.

Please confirm that you intend to reply before I spend more time analysing the new log.

Please let me know what Cisco Systems - VPN Client is used for and also if you ran Combofix under the guidance of a trained helper.

I see you are posting for help for a "Business" computer.

May I draw your attention to THIS topic, which you should have read before posting for help.

The section Posting for help for business machines explains why we do not offer help for such computers.

This topic is now closed
