Hi,

With Internet Explorer 8 and above it's normal to have at least 2 IEXPLORE.EXE processes running if you have the browser open. When you have two tabs open then there are 3 IEXPLORE.EXE processes running, with three tabs 4 IEXPLORE.EXE processes and so on.

Is the problem that IEXPLORE.EXE processes are running without you having a single Internet Explorer window open?

Hi,

Ok. Let's have a closer look then.

Download DDS and save it to your desktop from here or here or here.
Disable any script blocker, and then double click dds file to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:
    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt
  • Save both reports to your desktop. Post them back to your topic.

Download aswMBR to your desktop. Double click the aswMBR.exe to run it
Click the Scan button to start scan.

On completion of the scan click save log, save it to your desktop and post in your next reply.

Hi,

Remove P2P software
While looking over your log, I have noticed the following Peer-to-Peer filesharing programs are present on your computer:

uTorrent
Bearshare

These programs are the #1 source of infected systems. Although the software itself can be clean, the files you download are often infected with malware. Because of this, we do not allow P2P software present on machines we're cleaning anymore..

This means you must remove the above Peer-to-Peer filesharing programs and any others present on your machine. For an fully explanation of our policy, please read the following P2P Program Policy.

You can uninstall these programs in the Control Panel -> Programs and Features. Please do so and post fresh dds logs.

Due to the topic originator's lack of response after being instructed to remove peer-to-peer software, this topic is now closed.
