Internet Security 2011 Trojan infection

Unread postby bubba1855 » April 25th, 2011, 9:18 pm

This infection has taken over my pc. I cannot access the internet or run any programs. I am running Vista Home premium. I cannot download Hijackthis or anything else. The only way I can give you the equivalent of DDS is for you to tell me how to download something to my non-infected pc and transfer it to my infected pc. I am posting from my non-infected pc.

Your question on what to download to your non-infected computer, and the best way to transfer it to your infected computer, was answered in a response to your previous topic:

If you cannot run programs on the infected computer, then you are unlikely to be able to produce a log. You will need to try the following procedure first, and then see if you are able to create a log with DDS:

Download/run Rkill:

Please download Rkill from one of the following links and and then transfer it to your infected computer's Desktop:

One, Two or Three

  • Double click on Rkill.
  • A command window will open then disappear upon completion, this is normal.
  • Please leave Rkill on the Desktop until otherwise advised.

Note: If your security software warns about Rkill, please ignore and allow the download to continue.

Next, please follow the guideline at the link below to start a new topic and post your DDS log. If you are unable to create and post a DDS log, then it's pointless to start another topic. Your only remaining option may be to reformat your computer and reinstall the operating system.

This topic is now closed. Please start a new topic after following the above instructions and then post a DDS log by using the guideline posted here: >Guideline for posting your DDS log<
