unwanted searchqu home page

Hello,

My homepage has decided to redirect itself to searchqu - I've had a look on a lot of forums and found that this is a common problem, however I didn't at any point download Bandoo, which is often cited as the source of the searchqu malware. I did have Vuze on this computer, which may be the source, though I haven't used it for months, and the problem only appeared a few days ago. However I have uninstalled it since I read your policy on file sharing programs; I don't think I have any other P2P programs on here so am ready to start work on getting rid of searchqu.

The machine is running perfectly well aside from the homepage being diverted. I tried to remove the malware by using "system restore" to no avail. I have also searched my system for the searchqu file but found it nowhere.

Help will be very much appreciated...

By posting just a description of your problems it is likely that your topic will be passed by and you will not receive the help you're looking for.

We need to know what's running on your computer so that we can give you appropriate instructions.

May I draw your attention to THIS topic, which you should have read, and which tells you what we need you to post so that we can help you.
