I did clean all the caches, deleted the current copy of Firefox, cleaned the computer and the registry again and reinstalled Mozilla. I have been using it for the past hour and have not seen one redirect. Is it possible that I eliminated the problem without having to reset the router?

It did reset to automatic settings. I can still reset the router, but I will have to wait until my father comes home to get his paperwork for the router and his connections in order to that.

Thanks again for all your help. I have learned a lot.

Hi lbragg,

In future I would avoid registry cleaning tools as they can cause serious damage.

I have been using it for the past hour and have not seen one redirect. Is it possible that I eliminated the problem without having to reset the router?

It's possible, keep using it and see if the redirects return.

I can still reset the router, but I will have to wait until my father comes home to get his paperwork for the router and his connections in order to that.

OK, only reset the router if the redirection starts again. Make a note of the ISP support phone number in case you have any problems.

Due to a lack of response, this topic is now closed.

If you still require help, please open a new thread in the Infected? Virus, malware, adware, ransomware, oh my! forum, include a fresh FRST log, and wait for a new helper.
