Dodgy Startup Homepage keeps re-appearing

Unread postby peanuto » February 27th, 2011, 5:59 pm

Hi there,

I'm hoping you can help with a re-occuring problem I have on my home laptop. I have a normal start up home page for the internet of googlemail. However, another tab keeps appearing for a search engine of theprizeday.com/today.php|https (also shown as byteseeker.com). Whenever I go to Options and remove it from the startup area, it disappears for a few weeks, then re-appears. :( It's annoying, but I'm also hoping it is not accessing or causing any damage to my harddrive. I removed a few things dodgy from HijackThis, but it has not helped. I am unsure now what I am looking for and what looks dodgy, so have copied the list below. There are two items at the bottom of this list stating Unknown Owner, but when I fix/delete, they will not delete.
I would be soooo grateful for any advice. Thank you so much. :)
