Windows 7 continually reboots

Unread postby kbradley » February 6th, 2011, 12:33 pm

First post, so please forgive me if it's in the wrong place.

I ran an executable file like a fool, and now I get the blue screen that says that something has gone wrong and my computers is rebooting to avoid damage to my computer.. It boots through the boot screen with the Windows logo, but as soon as I should see my desktop I get the blue screen again, and my computer reboots again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I think I'm going to find some way to boot from USB or cd, but the complicated part is that I bought my computer online, and it didn't come with a windows disc, just the license sticker on the bottom of the laptop. I do have another computer with a cd burner. One other problem is that of my 4 computers, this is the only one running Windows 7.

Thanks,

Kyle

By posting just a description of your problems it is likely that your topic will be passed by and you will not receive the help you're requesting.
We need to know what's running on your computer so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.

May I draw your attention to THIS topic, which you should have read, that states what we need you to post, so we can help you.
If you still need help, please start a new thread an include:
  • A HijackThis log.
  • An Uninstall list.
  • Details of the problems you're experiencing.
If for any reason you can't run HijackThis, please let us know in your post.

This thread will now be closed.
