Malware problems, Zone Alarm, and Spybot

Unread postby trig3d » December 5th, 2010, 9:06 pm

Hi,

I've had an issue with opening Zone Alarm and Spybot, Search and Destroy. For Zone Alarm, when I click on the exe, the Z icon shows up on the taskbar bit then disappears after I put mouse over it. In other words I cannot get the GUI start. I'm affraid that perhaps a trojan or malware program may be blocking it somehow.

I started my computer in the safe mode and it worked fine and there doesn't seem to be any strange programs listed in the program control but i could be wrong.

For the spybot problem, sometimes it starts and sometimes it takes 20 mins to start. Just seems strange.

I've attached my log from Hijackthis but i'm not sure what all the entries are. can anyone tell me if something seems strange?

thanks,
trig3d
