Unread postby spinner6 » December 4th, 2010, 4:06 pm

Hi, my computer was recently infected with spyware, which Avira AntiVir told me had been removed, and them Malwarebytes told me was still present. Please advise on action to take.

Re: Spyware Infection - Please Help

Unread postby Wingman » December 4th, 2010, 4:10 pm

Your HJT log shows that you're using a 64 bit operating system.

May I draw your attention to THIS topic, which you should have read before posting for help.

Unfortunately, the tools we use to analyze and remove infections do not work properly on a 64 bit operating system and their results cannot be relied upon. Because of this, it is almost impossible for us to correctly diagnose problems and the fixes we might offer could potentially do as much damage to your computer as any infection you might have.

Due to the reasons stated above, we do not at this time offer support for 64 bit operating systems. We are sorry that we are currently unable to assist you.

This topic is now closed.
